Canadian GP | Raikkonen leads Hamilton in FP2

Kimi Raikkonen tops FP2 at the Canadian Grand Prix, from Lewis Hamilton.

After Lewis Hamilton topped the morning session from of Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Raikkonen fought back come second practice to put the Italian constructor on top – leaving morning pace-setter Hamilton two-tenths shy of Raikkonen’s pace. Meanwhile, spins befell Vettel, Grosjean, Bottas and Vandoorne as the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve continued to show a lack of grip.

Canadian GP Preview | Hamilton to bounce back in Montreal?

Bonjour Canada! Formula One travels across the atlantic for the 2016 Canadian Grand Prix.

On the back of Monaco, Canada enters the Formula One calendar for round seven of the 2016 Formula One season. Last time F1 travelled across the atlantic, Lewis Hamilton wrapped up the 2015 World Drivers’ Title. This time, Formula One makes the trip on the back of a Hamilton victory in the Principality. But can he make it back-to-back wins this weekend and continue to claw back points from Rosberg’s championship lead or will Ricciardo claim his first win of the season after two near misses.

Lewis Hamilton secures pole position at the Canadian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton secures pole for the 2015 Canadian Grand Prix, in a Mercedes front row lock out ahead of Raikkonen and Bottas.

On the back of disappointment in Monaco and a disappointing practice, Lewis Hamilton topped qualifying to secure pole position for the Canadian Grand Prix. Lewis secured the top spot by three tenths of a second to his team-mate while Vettel and Massa dropped out in Q1.

Rosberg tops a double red flagged Canadian Grand Prix FP3

Nico Rosberg fastest from Raikkonen and Grosjean in final free practice at the 2015 Canadian Grand Prix.

With just an hour on track teams had to set their cars up for qualifying and make up for the lost time from second free practice. But two red flags meant supersoft running was limited but when the chequered flag fell over the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Rosberg was the fastest man on track with a 1:15.660.
