Rosberg rockets Q3 to edge Hamilton to pole position for the Brazilian Grand Prix

Pole position for the Brazilian Grand Prix secured by Nico Rosberg.

After being under Hamilton’s thumb during Q1 and Q2, Rosberg found the edge in the final qualifying stage to claim his fifth pole in a row. Hamilton himself was chasing pole number 50 but will have to search for his first Brazilian Grand Prix victory from second on the grid.

Brazilian Grand Prix: Hamilton tops final free practice

Final free practice at the Brazilian Grand Prix topped by Lewis Hamilton.

Morning glory for Lewis Hamilton after outpacing the pack in the final practice session at the Brazilian Grand Prix. Hamilton’s 1:12.070 was enough for the Briton to edge Rosberg by one tenth of a second and top his second session of the weekend.

Brazilian Grand Prix Preview

For the penultimate race in the 2015 season, Formula One returns to Interlagos for the Brazilian Grand Prix.

After a glorious return to Mexico, Formula One moves on to one of the permanent fixtures on the calendar, the Brazilian Grand Prix. The race at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace in São Paulo has been on the F1 calendar since 1973 and will this year host its 44th Grand Prix, where Hamilton will look to break his Brazilian duck.

After 23 years Formula One returned to Mexico, where Nico Rosberg claimed victory at the 2015 Mexican Grand Prix.

In front of an incredible atmosphere created by the passionate Mexican fans, Nico Rosberg controlled the Mexican Grand Prix to take the first Formula One triumph at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez since 1992. The sold-out race played host to a deserved win for Rosberg, as Hamilton settled for second and Ferrari saw both drivers end their races early.

Rosberg edges title-winning Hamilton to Mexican Grand Prix pole

Qualifying fell in favour of the title-less Rosberg as Nico dominated his team-mate to take the top spot. When things heated up, Hamilton found himself off Rosberg’s pace throughout the lap while home favourite Sergio Perez missed the moment for his flying lap.
